NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH (click header)
  • National Nutrition Month® (eatright.org) The 2025 theme, “Food Connects Us." Food is a connecting factor for many of us. Food connects us to our cultures, our families and our friends. Sharing a meal is an opportunity to learn about its preparation, who made it and where the ingredients were sourced. Health, memories, traditions, seasons and access can all impact our relationship with food. While these factors influence the foods we eat, the foods we eat also affect our health.

National Nutrition Month® Resources
  • 20 Health Tips
  • Beyond the Table
  • Eating Right and Reduce Food Waste
  • Eating Right on a Budget
  • Eating Right Tips for Older Adults
  • Healthy Eating on the Run
  • Smart Snacking Tips for Adults and Teens
  • Smart Snacking Tips for Kids
  • Plant-based Eating Tip Sheet
  • Smart Tips for Successful Meals
  • Fact or Fiction

NATIONAL COLORECTAL CANCER AWARENESS MONTH
  • A time to promote awareness of the importance of colorectal cancer screening, prevention, and treatment. Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States, behind only lung cancer. Colorectal cancer awareness is important because many cases of cancer of the colon or rectum are preventable.

NATIONAL KIDNEY MONTH
  • March is National Kidney Month, a time when communities across the country raise awareness about kidney disease. This year’s focus is on taking charge of your health and the many factors that go into managing your kidney disease.
  • World Kidney Day is Thursday, March 13th, with the theme “Are Your Kidneys OK? – Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health”. The kidneys are complicated and amazing organs that do many essential tasks to keep us healthy.
  • Please take the quiz, answering a few simple questions to find out if you are one of the 33% of adults in the U.S. who is at risk for kidney disease.

NATIONAL WOMEN & GIRLS HIV/AIDS AWARENESS DAY - MARCH 10
  • Time to raise awareness about the impact of HIV and AIDS on women and girls and show support for those at risk of and living with HIV. This year’s theme, “Prevention and Testing at Every Age. Care and Treatment at Every Stage.” reemphasizes the need to further prevention efforts.

WORLD TUBERCULOSIS DAY - MARCH 24
  • World TB Day is a day to educate the public about the impact of tuberculosis (TB) around the world. CDC, along with partners and colleagues around the world share successes in TB prevention and control and raise awareness of the challenges that hinder progress toward the elimination of this devastating disease.
